About TinyFork

TinyFork was started by two dads who got tired of the same story playing out every weekend: pick a restaurant, load up the kids, arrive, and immediately realise the place was not set up for families. No highchairs. No kids' menu. Narrow gaps between tables. Staff giving you that look.

We would spend ages scrolling through reviews trying to figure out whether somewhere was actually family-friendly or just said it was. One review would mention a play area, another would say it had closed down. Someone would rave about the kids' menu, but the post was three years old. It was a mess.

So we built what we wished existed: a simple, honest directory of restaurants across the UK that genuinely welcome families. Not just places that tolerate kids, but places that make an effort. Highchairs, changing facilities, play areas, kids' menus, the lot. All in one place, kept up to date by parents who actually go there.

What we care about

We are not trying to be another generic restaurant review site. There are plenty of those already. TinyFork focuses on the stuff that matters when you have little ones in tow:

  • Does the restaurant have highchairs and booster seats?
  • Is there a kids' menu, and is it more than just chicken nuggets?
  • Are there baby changing facilities?
  • Is there space for a pushchair without blocking the whole aisle?
  • Is there a play area or anything to keep the kids entertained?
  • Do the staff actually seem happy to see families walk in?

Built by parents, for parents

Every feature on TinyFork comes from real experience. We have been the parents trying to do a quick nappy change in a tiny bathroom with no changing table. We have been the ones apologising to the table next to us because our toddler launched a breadstick across the room. We get it.

TinyFork is our way of helping other families skip the guesswork and find places where everyone can actually enjoy eating out together. If you have found a great family-friendly spot, we would love for you to add it to the directory.
